What £5 will mean for your charity
Each year during #5kMay we partner with incredible charities to help them raise vital funds.
We believe in the power of people coming together, and that’s why we only ever ask for a small contribution (as lots of small contributions amount to something so much bigger).
But what could your £5 specifically fund? We caught up with our charity partners to find out….
GOSH Charity
“£5 could cover building costs for one square inch of the new GOSH Sight and Sound centre. Without that, they can’t fund the wards and medical facilities designed around children and young people, letting the hospital treat more patients in the best possible surroundings.”

British Heart Foundation
“£5 could help buy equipment BHF-funded researchers use to grow cells for their work. Experiments involving heart, blood vessel or other types of cells can be used to learn more about heart and circulatory diseases or test potential treatments.”

Choose Love
“£5 could provide a nutritious meal to a family forced to spend years living in a tent or two week’s worth of nappies, bringing safety, dignity and comfort to little ones.”

Mental Health UK
“£5 could provide a teacher with resources to deliver their mental health resilience training in their classroom.”

Coppafeel!
“£5 allows them to remind 100 people to check their boobs every month”

Alzheimer’s Research UK
“ £5 will buy essential equipment for scientists unravelling the causes of dementia in search of a cure.”

Macmillan
“£4.50 could pay for 10 copies of the cancer guide. This Macmillan booklet can help someone recently diagnosed with cancer and their families, understand more about cancer, its treatment and the help available.”

So there you have it, your £5 will go a long way helping out charities right now. Why don’t you take part in #5kMay this weekend and donate £5 to a charity of your choice. Remember to nominate your friends to take part too!
